On 2 August 2019, Mrs. Narirat Pramudwinai, spouse of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand, led the spouses of the Foreign Ministers of ASEAN and Dialogue Partners to the Thai Food Heritage Centre. Mr. Yongvut Saovapruk, President of the National Food Institute, and Mrs. Nitaya Pirapatrungsuriya, Executive Vice President of the National Food Institute, welcomed the group and introduced the Thai Food Heritage Centre as Thailand’s first executive learning centre that showcases the local wisdom of Thai cuisine and the use of innovative technology to create more competitive food products.

The group also saw a cooking demonstration of the famous Thai Street Food by Chef Anisara Pahwiranu and joined in a cooking workshop (Tom Yum Soup with prawns or “Tom Yum Gung”). After the workshop, Mrs. Narirat hosted a luncheon in honour of the spouses at Baan Noi Restaurant at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel, Bangkok.
